Curriculum Development Intern

Position Summary:

The Curriculum Development Intern will assist OMS’s curriculum developers in creating a dynamic, comprehensive curriculum for kindergarten through 8th grade students. This is a unique opportunity to be on the forefront of an innovative and empirically based educational philosophy.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work under the direction of highly regarded curriculum developers
  2. Develop print and digital materials based on Common Core goals (lesson plans, learning activities, assessments, etc.)
  3. Align the existing material to Common Core standards
  4. Bridge technology and applications with learning objectives and goals
  5. Create engaging visuals for the classroom
  6. Adapt existing educational materials to be more hands-on
  7. Oversee the printing and laminating of curriculum materials

Skills & Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of being enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program
  2. Majoring in Psychology, Education, Liberal Studies, or a related field
  3. A passion for education, mental health, and children with special needs
  4. Able to work 5 -10 hours per week
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  6. Excellent time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  7. Creativity and basic artistic ability
  8. Attentive to details
