Research Assistant Intern

Position Summary:

Research assistant will track data on our students’ progress. Tasks will include using data sheets created by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst or Lead Researcher based on students’ IEP, collecting data in the classroom on current goals that are used towards grading, report cards, assessment, and evaluation of students’ educational plans. The research assistant will have the opportunity to analyze data, make graphs and charts, and summarize findings. The time requirement is flexible, and we prefer a commitment of 5-10 hours per week.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct literature reviews
  2. Collect and analyze data on individual education or intervention goals
  3. Prepare materials for submission to granting agencies and foundations
  4. Prepare interview questions
  5. Recruit and/or interview participants
  6. Maintain accurate records of interviews, safeguarding the confidentiality of participants, as necessary
  7. Summarize interviews
  8. Provide ready access to all experimental data for the faculty supervisor
  9. Manage and respond to project related email
  10. Prepare, maintain, and update website materials
  11. Maintaining records on assignment completion
  12. Attend project meetings
  13. Summarize project results

Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Academic and/or work experience related to the field of research, as defined by the supervisor/lead researcher
  2. Experience or willingness to be trained on specialized software or behavior data sheets
  3. Sensitivity or experience with the special needs population
